Protecting the Confluence

Project Cost: $1,700,000

OPWC Assistance: $850,000

This project purchased 7 acres of developed land at the confluence of West Creek and the Cuyahoga River. The acquisition provides for connection and access to riparian corridor, preserves floodplain and wetlands, protects water quality, and supports comprehensive open space planning.

Southgate Farm Property Acquisition

Project Cost: $3,010,000

OPWC Assistance: $1,500,000

This project acquired Southgate Farm as an open space project in order to enhance the natural areas, preserve the high quality wetlands and native plants and animals, and serve as a link with existing local, state, and private parkland and regional pedestrian corridors in the area.
