Protecting the Confluence

Project Cost: $1,700,000

OPWC Assistance: $850,000

This project purchased 7 acres of developed land at the confluence of West Creek and the Cuyahoga River. The acquisition provides for connection and access to riparian corridor, preserves floodplain and wetlands, protects water quality, and supports comprehensive open space planning.

Southgate Farm Property Acquisition

Project Cost: $3,010,000

OPWC Assistance: $1,500,000

This project acquired Southgate Farm as an open space project in order to enhance the natural areas, preserve the high quality wetlands and native plants and animals, and serve as a link with existing local, state, and private parkland and regional pedestrian corridors in the area.

Dayton Drive Widening

Project Cost: $1,324,587

OPWC Assistance: $400,000

The project is located on Dayton Drive from Maple Avenue to Xenia Drive (SR 235).

Jackson Street Culvert

Project Cost: $550,000

OPWC Assistance: $110,000

The project involved resurfacing the following roads in Lowellville, River Road from the west Village limits east to Washington Street; Washington Street from River Road to Jackson Street; and on Jackson Street from Washington Street east to the Village limits.

Trumbull County 2018 Road Improvements

Project Cost: $1,519,853

OPWC Assistance: $820,721

The project is located on Logan Way (SR 304 north to Warner Road), Ridge Road (King Graves Road south 3,568 feet), Niles Warren River Road ( Deforest Road south to the corporation line), South Canal Street (Bright Baldwin Road north to the Newton Falls village limits), and Shannon Road (from City of Girard north to Tibbetts Wick Road.

 

Hyde Road Bridge

Project Cost: $540,000

OPWC Assistance: $270,000

Bridge Structure Only; “Cap” not included

The project is located on Hyde Road approximately 1.2 miles east of SR 68 spanning the Little Miami Scenic Bike Path.

New Central Water Tower

Project Cost: $4,594,838

The project is located at the south end of Piqua in the Sherry Industrial Park off of Fox Drive.
