    Funds available each Fiscal Year

     

    $200,000,000 (SCIP), $57,000,000 (LTIP), $42,500,000 (RLP), $37,500,000 (Clean Ohio) *subject to appropriation authority provided by General Assembly. Funds allocated among 19 established District Ohio Public Works Integrating Committees (DOPWICs) or Natural Resource Assistance Councils (NRACs).

  • May- Jun Guidelines

    Spring

     

    Program Year Guidelines and other requirements are provided to the District from the Commission. Districts provide the OPWC with the selection methodology (based off criteria contained in Chapter 164 of the Ohio Revised Code), as well as their committee roster and schedule to be used for the upcoming program year. The OPWC Director reviews the scoring methodology submitted by the District, makes comments (if applicable), and approves.

  • Time to Apply

    June - September

     

    Districts release application materials and schedule dates. Local government applicants apply to DOPWIC or NRAC for project funding according to priorities.

  • Application Review

    September - January

     

    Districts evaluate, rate and rank applications, pursuant to the approved methodology, then select projects to be recommended to the OPWC.

  • February 28th

    February 28

     

    All slate submissions from the DOPWICs are due by February 28th of each year. Unlike the infrastructure program, there is no hard deadline for submissions to OPWC from the NRACs for the Clean Ohio program. The submission timeline is up to the respective District for each funding round.

  • Eligibility Check

    November - May

     

    Once a slate has been submitted to OPWC staff, the Program Representative for that District reviews the submittal for project eligibility, completeness of the application, and project financing (grant, loan, credit enhancement). 

  • Step 7

    July 1st

     

    Approved project agreements are released to the local communities by the OPWC. Project agreements are executed between the OPWC director and the applicant's Chief Executive Officer.

  • Disbursements & Monitoring

    Disbursements & Monitoring

     

    Funds are disbursed during the life of the project. Disbursements are made directly to an authorized contractor(s) or as reimbursement to the funding recipient. Project monitoring activites may include electronic compliance and auditing.
